The Bonny Mary was a 50 foot wooden fishing vessel owned by Newlyn fisherman Donald Turtle, who bought the boat after leaving the merchant navy and converted it for longline fishing. Once sold, the boat was eventually demolished as part of the government compensation scheme to cut back on fishing.
